We specialize in the delicate art of teaching baby massage and yoga, but our true passion lies in supporting parents through the most crucial stages of the early years.

As dedicated Early Years Wellness Practitioners, we provide a safe, welcoming space for you to navigate the journey of parenthood from the first six weeks through to the energetic preschool years. Our classes are designed not just for physical development, but for the lifelong emotional connection between you and your child.

Founder

Meet Karen

Karen specialises in baby massage, baby yoga, and toddler yoga. She founded First Touch in 2004, offering nurturing classes for parents, carers, and their babies.

With over 25 years experience working with parents and children across a range of early years settings, Karen brings deep knowledge, warmth, and care to everything she does. She began teaching baby massage courses for the NHS while supporting families in Hackney, and her passion for early connection and wellbeing has continued to grow ever since.

Baby Massage

Our 5-week Baby Massage course is a gentle, nurturing journey thoughtfully shaped to support both you and your baby during the early weeks of life. Using loving touch, mindful connection, and simple massage techniques, this course helps you build a deeper bond with your baby while supporting their natural development.
This course is suitable for babies from 4 weeks to pre-crawling.

Baby Yoga

Our baby yoga classes are a beautiful way to slow down, connect with your baby, and enjoy some special time together. Through gentle movement, touch, song, and play, baby yoga supports your little one’s development while giving you a chance to relax, move, and breathe.
This course is suitable for babies from 6 weeks to 8 months.

Pre-Toddler Yoga

At First Touch, we believe early movement, loving touch, and shared joy create the strongest foundations. Our pre-toddler yoga classes are relaxed, welcoming, and designed to celebrate every baby exactly as they are.

Toddler S.M.A.R.T Yoga

Our Toddler S.M.A.R.T Yoga classes are a joyful first step into movement for little ones and their grown-ups. Expect plenty of wiggling, stretching, singing, and storytelling as we explore simple yoga poses through play. Toddlers are free to move, crawl, toddle, or simply watch—there’s no pressure, just fun!
Parents and carers actively take part in every session, sharing special moments of connection while supporting their child’s early physical and emotional development.
This course is suitable for babies from 12 months to 2.5 years.

Pre-School S.M.A.R.T Yoga

Our Pre-School S.M.A.R.T Yoga classes are full of imagination, movement, and mindful moments—perfect for busy little minds and bodies.
Children and their grown-ups explore yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation through stories, games, music, and creative play. Sessions encourage confidence, listening skills, and self-expression, all while having lots of fun together. Parent or carer participation remains a key part of these classes, helping children feel supported as they grow in independence.
This course is suitable for babies from 2.5 years to 4 years.

What to expect from the classes?

Our classes are designed to be relaxed, supportive and fun for both you and your child. A calm, welcoming environment where you can move at your own pace.

• Gentle guidance throughout the session — no prior experience needed.
• Age-appropriate activities including massage, yoga-inspired movements, songs, sensory play and relaxation.
• Time to bond with your child and connect with other parents and carers.
• A baby-led approach — feeding, changing and cuddles are always welcome.
• A safe, inclusive space where every child is encouraged to join in in their own way.
• There’s no pressure for babies or children to “perform” — simply being present is more than enough.

What should I bring for the classes?

Please bring anything you and your child need to be comfortable:

• A blanket or towel for your baby/child to lie on.
• Milk, water or snacks as appropriate for your child’s age.
• Nappies, wipes and any essentials you’d normally bring when out.
• Comfortable clothing for you and your child that allows easy movement.
• Everything else is provided — just come as you are and enjoy the time together.

Will oils be provided?

For baby massage:
Oils will be provided and guidance on which oils are suitable

Should I bring yoga mats to classes?

For all yoga classes:
You are welcomed to bring your own yoga mats but also have some that you can borrow
